When the system is first installed it has to go through a commissioning. The installation tech does this. It basically activates the equipment on the system and on your account. The option is there for when an issue happens that requires a recommissioning.
Having said this, recommissioning should ONLY be performed under specific circumstances, and it should ONLY performed when one is instructed to do so by a rep/tech. Doing this when it's not required and hasn't been instructed by a rep/tech can cause all kinds of problems. In the extreme, it can require a tech visit to fix, the cost of which would be borne by the customer, even if they have Express Repair, as it would be an issue that was caused by the customer.
