My wife and I both have HughesNet email accounts and use MicroSoft Outlook to send and receive emails. Three days ago we could not send emails in Outlook, but could if we logged into our email accounts using the HughesNet website. I have gone back and forth between Outlook Technical Help and HughesNet Technical Help checking outgoing server settings. Outlook says to contact HughesNet. HughesNet says to contact Outlook. Can anyone help with this problem?
Thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this. Periodically, Hughesnet and the external email server will experience an issue that only affects external email clients such as Outlook. This resolves on its own at random and there is no current fix for it outside of using direct email methods for the time being. Our engineers have been working on this for a very long time and unfortunately the issue still persists here and there. I apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. -Damian
