Direct pay billing

If the bill shows due date of 6/12/17
Why did they take out of my bank act on 6/8/17? I am having to pay a overdraft fee to my bank now. It should not say the later date.

With automatic billing, the funds are withdrawn on the day the new bill/statement is created and the due date is the last date the bill can be paid without it being late.
