@GabeU, I'm using Windows 10 -- I had tried Firefox and Chrome and it was the same thing.   Then I tried Edge, and I was able to see the option "show images" in message body."  I couldn't see that option in Firefox or Chrome.   So I reinstalled Firefox, and now the option shows.     Thanks to all for your help, and @Liz, it's working now on Firefox and it was likely a browser issue. ... @Liz, I can switch between Ajax and HTML just fine.     Under Ajax, I do not have an option to add an image at all.  I can only add attachments; nothing inline.   ETA:  I don't see the "show images in the message body" option in the attchments dialog, but I will check again later and report back.     No option to add images   Under HTML, I can add images, but this is the dialog I get when I click the image icon:       Under Composing, in Preferences, my setting has always been HTML.   ... Yes, your post does provide a way to do exactly what I wanted to do, @GabeU,  and it also shows something's wrong with my account, because my account looks different and I can't find any way to add images inline, which is what I wanted to do.  Which adds evidence to the theory that the satellite doesn't like me. @kitnbob,   I have the same problem with the email app in Ajax or in HTML.   When in HTML, I can only upload images that have URLs, so I can't upload an image from my computer.   When in Ajax mode, I don't have an option to upload images.  I have an option to add attachments, but can only add them as attachments, not inline.   I would like to add images inline, and I can't with my email app.   @Liz, @Amanda ... Mark, yes, exactly.  But it happens in other environments too, like the road, or a queue, or many other places outside the Web.  People get their ire up and they're off to the races.  Happens to our close cousins too:  "When angry, chimpanzees may stand upright, swagger, wave their arms, throw branches or rocks—all with bristling hair and screaming or with lips bunched in ferocious scowls" (Source).  So similar to some of the swaggering, bristling individuals that post here, who throw verbal branches and rocks at people, acting out like peevish 2-year-olds.     ... Mark, once you wrote something I thought was very insightful -- it was something addressed to a raving eejit, and you admonished them that they didn't know how to negotiate from a position of weakness.  That really hit the nail on the head.  Yes, they are angry, but they are also full of entitlement,  and seem completely incapapable of taking responsibility for anything and of negotiating in a civilized way. @GabeU, I  hear you. You work very hard, out of the goodness of your heart, and people use you as a whipping boy. Some users don't seem to understand that this is a peer-to-peer community and that the mods only participate sporadically.  Users are also angry and frustrated and they seem to be unable to state their case unemotionally -- many times they seem to just want to vent and are not seeking solutions.  There is a lot of ignorance, anger, and hostility.    It's sad that they're missing great opportunities for help from people like you, Mark, BirdDog, GWalk, etc. I've noticed that all of you are posting less and less, so I wonder if there's burnout all around.    I honestly don't know what to say, really. I personally think the community would be very impoverished if you and the others stopped posting, but I can't blame you for being tired of the ingratitude. Perhaps you need to just ignore those who only want to rage. Don't engage them. Just walk away.    I truly hope we won't lose you.  You contribute so much that it'd be a shame if you left. ...
