@bare65 Just remember this when it comes to a metered connection... IF Microsoft pushes a very critical update (im talking MAJOR zeroday like event or similar stuff) then the system will ignore the metered setting. Those updates tend to be small emergency patches. I can think of only two times that has happened, and when it has, those updates even went out for WinXP users. One thing the Metered setting does help with is that it limits how often your machine calls home with telemetry data, it still will but not nearly as often, among how frequently Windows Store based applications (think Candy Crush, and other applications from the store it self) will update, as they are updated seperately from Windows Update. Metered changes a lot of things in a system, most of it isn't immediately obvious.

Not out-dated, that's just the way an HN9000 works/looks. Is everyone with this complaint on the HN9000? If so, have any of you considered upgrading to JupiterII (Gen5)? The old satellite is pretty much nearing end of life at this point.

Curious, what is everyones IPGW? You can find it at http://192.168.0.1 under System Status, it should say "IP Gateway Association State: Associated (Data IPGW - XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" What I would like to know is what's in the XXXXXX.

In theory, if you use the lowest definition possible on Netflix, AND you don't do anything else (like browsing facebook and youtube) while watching Netflix AFTER you have exhausted your data, you should be able to stream your old shows still. Of course, if you do have data allowance remaining, you could probably do more than just netflix at the same time on your connection.

The same as any other iPhone I would assume. Open the Wifi Networks or Settings on your device, and select the network you wish to connect to, and enter the password for that network.

So... APPARENTLY OneWeb plans on building 15 of these satellites... PER WEEK. IF they could launch all 15 EVERY WEEK it would take less than one year to launch the entire network. Looks like they are planning on only 648 satellites (the 4000+ was Musks idea...) To be honest, if they can mass produce these that quickly and keep them updated so congestion isn't too much a concern... Then costs might be affordable.... But that was the same thought with Satellite Phones and Satellite TV too, look at how much those cost anymore. With that said, the F.C.C. has given OneWeb approval for the spectrum they want here in the states and they plan to start launches with in the next year and have service available in 2019... Appears service will start with Alaska and the most remote regions of North America, then progress to the rest of the world over a period of years. Makes me wonder why they want the infrastructure to take so long to get into place if they are claiming they can build 15 of these suckers a week.

It may be a global system, but you take the amount of satellites that will be over any given area at a given time, unless there are enough customers in that region, their costs will be a good bit higher to help offset costs of the network/satellites. I am willing to bet people State-side would see the highest costs of anyone, to help off-set costs for low-income regions, and because we have such a small amount of people that would use the system. Either way, I still stand by something I said a long while back, it's not going to work the way people want it to work. and will probably never see the light of day.

With a constellation in the thousands of satellites, yeah, a handful as in a couple hundred users tops per satellite. I don't see more than a few hundred on each one state-side, and that's if Exede and Hughesnet go under as well. Consider this, between the two companies there's what, 3 million customers tops. They all pay between $50 and $130 per month, spread out on 4-10 satellites depending on what platform they are. Take that 3 million customers and throw them between a few hundred satellites. The bill will be higher.

If they do launches where several are deployed at a time (12+ satellites) then it's doable... I seem to remember there being a launch recently that had satellites in the payload like that for a constelation network, was pretty cool to see the rendering of all that. Pretty sure it was Irridium and SpaceX that launched 10 or so satellites at one time. The issue is, at LEO and MEO, there's just too much space junk... No one has taken up the job of being janitor yet to help collect as much junk as possible. Throwing a few thousand satellites up is not a good idea as the junkyard will explode in time. The issues are costs... People think that Geo sats are expensive per month, imagine only a handful of subscribers on each of those satellites... It's just not feasible yet.

Appears the last time it was touched was in 2015.... Great news for our HN9000/SPACEWAY customers! We’ve enhanced the Download Zone associated with your service plan so that it now works on YOUR local time, rather than our (Eastern) time. With this update, you no longer need to remember, convert, or schedule based on another time zone. All you need to do is remember that your Download Zone is from 2 am-8 am in your local time zone.

Actually, it's very easy to save the document as PDF... When you go to Print, change your Printer to Microsoft Print to PDF, then click Print. I am using Chrome, so it may be slightly different for Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer users, but, the idea is the same. 1: Click Print on the Invoice you are Viewing. 2: Click Change under Destination when the print dialog box appears. 3: Select Microsoft Print to PDF 4: Continue "Printing", you will now be asked where to save the file, and to give it a name. 5: Open the file in your PDF viewer of choice.

jrgarret, Yeah... part of the system to inform subscribers their information is outdated, is messed up... Basically any time that happens, it means that your payment information on file has expired and it needs to be updated. It's probably the expiration date on the card you use to make your payments. You may want to call Hughesnet and update your information, or, go to My Account > Account Information at the top of this page, and then click Update under Payment Type so you can update your card on file. Once updated, it can take awhile for the system to process the information and it will stop doing that to you. If you have any issues please let us know.

Heath, To be honest... No one here has ever seen the resets not happen like that for new customers... Chances of support being able to fix that are slim to none as it would take multiple people with the issue to pinpoint, especially since it has never been seen before. They forward the issue to the next tier, and so on. But, that is how most support systems work.

The fact you are on a Legacy service plan means your bonus period is (or WAS) between 2:00AM and 7:00AM Eastern if I remember correctly, however, that supposedly changed at some point, because according to an older Hughesnet page they extended it, and made the time local for users.... Great news for our HN9000/SPACEWAY customers! We’ve enhanced the Download Zone associated with your service plan so that it now works on YOUR local time, rather than our (Eastern) time. With this update, you no longer need to remember, convert, or schedule based on another time zone. All you need to do is remember that your Download Zone is from 2 am-8 am in your local time zone.
