Hi Annie, been a long time since I had a landline phone but if your friends and family have a cell phone most plans are no extra charge for long distance. It is out of HughesNet hands whether local numbers can be ported to their VoIP in many cases.

To be honest, speed sells... How is Hughes to compete with anyone when everyone has "bigger and better" numbers? People buy what sounds the fastest/biggest, not the slowest. That aside, speeds when in FAP can hit 1Mbps or lower, though you should still be able to stream standard definition video just fine.

Hi Annie, Thanks for posting. Our engineers are currently working on a new update to the Usage Meter. In the meantime, you should be able to see how many token bytes you have so far in the Support Center. pipespinner, please check your PMs.
