Playon having issues with slow download speed?
I have tried to find a solution to actually be able to use our HNS service for something other than just emial and very light browzing (no videos). It was suggested here that Playon could be a solution - to download during the early morning so as to have better performance due to less traffic and to not affect our daytime data cap. I am now working with Playon Tech Support (who have been great) to understand why that is hit and miss. We are able to download maybe one or two shows and then due to stalls and buffering the recording stops. This happens to at least 50 percent of the attempts. Sometimes we have to try several days to download a single one hour show. Meanwhile, each attempt takes away data from our allotment. This is all being done after 2am and before 8am. Ugh. Anyone here have any advise or experience with this? Thanks37KViews0likes79CommentsInternet Accelerator Software Advice, please
Is it advisable to run an Internet Accelerator software application on a Windows 10 desktop to modify various computer settings? Many apps, like Ashampoo, have many questions like - Type of connection, LAN, WLAN, ISDN, DSL, and so forth. Which is appropriate? Also, type of Adapter; Ethernet, Lan*3, Local Area Connection, ad infinitum... If you have any expertise in this your advice would be helpful. ...WAY laptop? My laptop has been locked for a few years since someone disabled the admin user rights and the recovery disk was long gone. I recently purchased a disk on eBay and was able to enter the world of bios and unlock it (3 hours of reading and research later). Now that I have my laptop back, I want to use it. If I log into my Hughes net account is the antivirus software that I pay for magically going to float through the wires to my laptop and protect it? Is it too old for protection? Will I have to pay more in my monthly bill? It's a Gateway and it's running Vista windows 7.5.6KViews0likes3Comments
