EchoStar-24 New Launch Date

Space Systems/Loral built this Ultra High Density Satellite (UHDS) for Hughes Network Systems. This will be the heaviest geostationary satellite ever launched at 9.2 metric tons.

The launch date is currently targeted for Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 3:04 AM (UTC).

    Looks like they finally got it launched yesterday (7/29).

      It's something else to watch the video, especially when the two side booster perfectly land back on their pads.

        Amazing engineering. Kudos to space X . When will we get the specs on the new bird?

  •  What improvements over Gen5? Will the plans prices change to accommodate the improvements? Will a new modem be required ? Big bird !

    I am very pleased with my Gen 5 , and the support I have received from Liz and crew over the years,Thanks All 🙂 years....dang !

    It was going to be on the 24th. I hope they do launch it on the 27th.
