Roof damage
So I had the satellite for internet installed by a HughesNet contractor April 2025 on my dad's 20-year-old deck flat roof. There's been some heavy rains & I've noticed that the roof is now significantly leaking around the installation site as well as along the outside, which was not an issue before.
How do I go about getting HughesNet to help pay for the repairs or replacing of this? I'm in Michigan so the statute is 3 years from the date of damage or from the discovery.
At the time of installation, the contractor also "drilled by mistake" in the roof & claimed he patched it. There's a small amount of bowing in that spots that he "patched". Local roofing company says they have to replace the entire roof of the deck as the damage is done.
The smaller satellite to the right has minimal leaking but that's not from HughesNet.

Thank you! I've posted there. Wasn't sure if anyone in the community had advice on this type of issue. 😅
