Cannot add hughes.net account to cell phone
  • Hi Thladw,

I see it's your first post here, so welcome to the community! We have instructions on how to add your HughesNet e-mail account to your Android device in our FAQ here:

    Android Email Configuration

    On your Android device:

Go to Settings > Accounts > Add account > Personal (IMAP)

Type your full email address, for example myusername@hughes.net, tap Next

    Type your Password, tap Next

Change the incoming server to “mail.hughes.net”, tap Next

Change the SMTP service to smtp.hughes.net, tap Next

Select your sync options or leave them at the default

    Set your name, tap Next

Please let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Liz

I hope someone will pipe up and help you. I haven't an Android phone so I wouldn't have a clue how to set up email.

  • Good morning Thladw,

It's been a while since we last heard from you, so we will close this thread. I hope the instructions I posted helped, but if you still have concerns, please start a new thread and include a detailed explanation so we can better assist you.

    Thanks,

    Liz
