State code 2.1.1 after storm

I am getting state code 2.1.1 after a storm and have no connectivity after several modem power cycles.

    I was able to fix it by replacing the coax cable with a new one.

Did you check the cables outside to make sure they dont have any water penetration, and that they are snug?  Did lighting by change strike near by?

2.1.1 means your in door unit can't communicate with the outdoor unit.

Yes all of the connections are snug and there was no water in them. I was not home but my partner said that the storm was intense and that there were lightning strikes all around the house.
