Alternative 3rd party modem

Can you buy your own modem and use it with hughesnet ? I don't want to buy hughesnets modem. Has anyone done this?

    You can only use the HughesNet modem with the HughesNet service.

The HT2000W is a good wi-fi modem. I found the wi-fi signal a little weak, but it works seamlessly with a small wi-fi repeater placed closer to your popular areas in your Large house. :smileywink:
