new to hughesnet and although laptop is not the fastest i can use it - however, on mobile, using the SAME wifi etc it is painfully slow - i.e. just bringing up a simple site like cbssports.com take >1min at least.
any ideas? phone is pixel 5 - in great condition - no issues anywhere else and only started once i got hughesnet and connected to their wi

I'm glad you found the community, thank you for posting. I ran diagnostics on your site just to double check the HughesNet system, and that's working normally.
Here's some ideas to consider and try out to improve the speed on your Pixel 5. I don't think this is mentioned on either site, but I'd also doublecheck that the Pixel is up-to-date as well.

Have you done any troubleshooting? For example, restarted everything (included the modem), switched to the 5 GHz radio to see if it makes a difference, used a different browser, etc.? And also, you're sure the phone is actually connected to the wifi?
i have- completed all those steps and yes, phone is def connected to wifi. not sure what else
the 5ghz tried as well
i do a testmy.net for laptop and it's anywhere b/t 15-40 Mbps - but on Mobile its like 100 Kbpx
