Did they install the service? (Dish, modem...?)
The 24-month commitment starts the second your account is active, which means that if you cancel, you will be charged an early termination fee.

Though with having cancelled this may no longer be the case, your sales call may still be available for review. This is ONLY if the sale was with HughesNet themselves (not a reseller like Dish or a local outfit), and it's been no more than three months. Also, it's only the call in which the sale was actually completed that they can review. Again, though, under the circumstances it may not be available.
