Still getting up to speed on HughesNet... The HT2000w has all the radios disabled and I'm running through a D-Link 655 with Ubiquiti AP's at this location. I'm trying to get the HN usage meter program up and going on this local PC but typing 192.168.0.1 in the browser results in no connection..."Site cannot be reached"...likewise starting the usage program from the system tray. Obviously it's not making connection to the modem/router. Is it the fact the radios are off?? Will the usage meter not work with the radios off. Usage gotten from the other HN options is also inconsistant...sometimes showing 98% the next showing 100%. Any information on this is greatly appreciated! I need help resetting both the 2 and 5 wifi passwords on my router. The passwords are located on the back of the rotuer, and we've had several family friends and both children connect to the wifi. They are sucking our data up. How can I do this? I've tried the D Router link I've seen on other posts, but it's not working for me.Solved34KViews0likes13CommentsUsage meter download
So I thought I could download the usage meter from the Usage page under My Account, but it's not there. Then I went to this page: https://support.hughesnet.com/en/faq/internet/what-is-usage-meter but the download link just spins and spins and the download never starts. Is there another place to download this? Thanks!Solved22KViews0likes36CommentsMail delivery failure

I've had Hughes for several years now and so far I've been pretty happy with it. I'm trying to upload a 4GB video file to YouTube. This is the first time I've done a large upload. I noticed that whenever the upload is running it absolutely KILLS my download rate. Streaming (on any platform) becomes impossible. It even loads IMAGES slowly, and sometimes I try to go to a site and get a momentary "cannot be reached" message (I haven't seen a connection THAT slow since the 1990's!). Conventional wisdom with any other type of internet connection is that uploads don't affect downloads -- so I didn't think it would in this case? Or does Hughes throttle it to limit the total data rate? My computer is plugged directly into the Hughes modem with an ethernet cable. No other devices are on right now (either ethernet or wifi). My data plan just reset for the month so I have a full meter, and everything is "green" on systemcontrolcenter.com.Solved16KViews0likes5CommentsDropbox and Data
Finding that my expectations for internet are high. I use a ton of data for school, and my wife uses a ton for work. it has been a little over two years for us on Hughesnet. Now the first year was a total nightmare with equipment failing and (LOL) Falling off the house. I found most my help within the fourms as calling in was a total waste of time. With that being said, and all the service issues corrected, I have learned a few tweeks. I am on here today because I absolutly can not get my wifes dropbox account to work anymore. Here is what I have done so far: 1. uninstalled and reinstalled 2. changed the bandwith settings 3. allowed full network speeds 4. (worked for two days) Alotted 2,500mbps download and 1,500mpbs upload I am out of ideas. I have also tried to load from the browser (safari, chrome, and opera) I can't even get to the website via brower as the conection seems to not exist. I a feeling that this is not a Hughesnet issue, because we are forced to all work and play from home. I used Dropbox support and of course they blame hughesnet? What are your thoughts? Thanks, RobSolved16KViews0likes21CommentsHow do I get a report on total data usage for a billing cycle?
Okay, so according to this linkhttps://community.hughesnet.com/t5/Tech-Support/HughesNet-Data-Management-Tips-n-Tricks-How-To-Eliminate-Phantom/td-p/41581 the Hughesnet page 192.168.0.1 shows a report on data usage? Where is this report? I check that site almost daily as my family uses our 50G of data in less than two weeks. So I'd love to see a report of exactly how much data we use in a billing cycle. Of course, since most of the month, we're in FAP (whatever that is) I don't know how it would accurately show how much data we use, I'd still love to see some estimate! Did I understand that right from the post? Also, the data calculator link listed In it isn't functioning properly according to the tech support guy I talked to over there. For instance, there was no way to get the data you enter to calculate (which is sort of the whole point. lol) Anyway, so how can I find out how much data we are using in total (even in approximation).Solved15KViews0likes13Comments
