WARNING!
If you cancel your service, make sure you say immediately or they keep your money! I called on 2/6/26 to cancel my service and since I did not mention "now" they did not cancel, they do it on the next billing cycle which means they keep your money! I called and emailed numerous times but they denied to refund my money, I let them know this was bad business for not completing explaining the difference between the 2 cancellations. Never heard of this!NOT RIGHT!!
I cancelled my Hughes net account (got another internet provider) and disconnected my router and the thing from the dish they wanted and cannot use the internet but they are telling me that they will NOT refund a portion of my money that I paid! I am paying for a service that I cannot use!! This is outrageous! Can't use it so they keep my money!
I feel cheated/scammed
When we first opted into Hughesnet we were promised up to 100gb of priority and 50gb of download speed. Our download speed was not 59gb. We were promised fast WiFi we can game on and it wasn’t fast. We decide to upgrade it. So now instead of paying 60/month we’re now paying 200/month practically relying on extra tokens. I want to cancel. I don’t want to fork out 400+ for cancellation when I’ve already practically given more than that already to this company. I can send back all of the equipment needed but I refuse to pay a termination fee of 400.00. Especially after feeling so scammed. I don’t recommend.
