Echostar 24 implementation - beam #68 overloaded
How long will it take to implement Echostar 24 after it is launched? the launch date is 7/23/23. How long will it take to transfer Hughesnet users to this new beam(s)? I am currently on beam #68 and my internet is very slow. A download speed between .17 - 1.31. Tech services tested the speed and the download speed was 0!!!!! Hughesnet engineering stated that my slow speed is caused by overloaded beam #68 and there will be no relief until Echostar 24 is operational. My internet was set up two months ago Beginning was as slow as it is now. I was sold and told "great fast internet that I can stream videos and have my cameras connected to" "30gb of satellite data is the same as hundreds of LTEgb Data" I was then told my internet is slow because it is winter where I live. Now the weather is fine and they have confirmed the satilite is receiving a full signal. I spoke with 4 different tech support agents on the phone no one could help. I spoke with 2 people that said they were managers that sounded like they were in a bar they said they did "different' tests and to call back in a couple days if it didn't solve my issues. I called back talked to multiple tech support agents again that did the same things and that I had to tell them what was going on again and again and again. They then sent a tech to my business. They replaced every single piece of hardware and nothing worked to fix it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My speed is 0.02mbps Average!!!!!!!!!!!!! testmy.net gives me a download speed of 0.02 mbps with one device connected. The tech was here in person and got the exact same problem. Hey called tech support once again for me and was on the phone with them for an hour. They said no one has ever seen this and to wait two hours. I then called after I waited a whole 6 hours. I was sent to 3 different people and after an hour and a half made it to a nice manager that said he was going to wave my cancelation fee of almost $800 thats along with the $300 visa I was told I would get if I signed up. The manager sent me to an account manager that said I had to still pay the $800 Then he said I needed to go back to tech support AGAIN. I talked to three more people after that and was told now I need to wait two days again. This is outrageous. I have contacted legal counsel and will spend as much money as it takes to make sure I will not have to pay a cancelation fee for 0.02mbps average speed. Ive been lied to hung up on and transferred at least 30 times and everyone acts like they have no idea whats going on and pretends theres nothing they can do to help or that they don't know anyone that can help. THIS IS FRAUD. FBI AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WILL NOT STOP RECEIVING PROOF OF FRAUD UNTIL MY INTERNET IS DISCONNECTED AND MY ACCOUNT IS DELETED I am a reasonable person and signed up for internet around 40mbps I am getting 0.02 thats 99.98% slower than the customer average. I am available anytime of the day or night. This is illegal. I signed a contract for a service that I am not receiving. Ive had Hughesnet for 12 years now and it has been nothing but problems. If its not super slow internet its not working at all. Ive had probably 10 technicians come out and not be able to fix anything. Finally they moved my dish and it helped for a few months. Then right back to problems. Ive probably spent over 24 hours on the phone with support trying to hear and understand what their saying through their thick accents from India or Mexico. My internet connection has been down for weeks now. A tech came out and it worked for maybe an hour or two and now its down again. He says its working even when I send him a pic of my wifi saying its not. The next day he sends me 3 pics of everyone else's internet saying the same thing. They charge $73 for slow broken internet with barely any data per month and when it breaks constantly they expect you to pay extra to get it fixed. Thats ridiculous!! If you pay for working internet and it doesn’t work, you shouldn't be charged because they can’t hold up their end of the deal. I move out April 1st and I pray I never have to use Hughesnet ever again. They suck all around all the time. Any other users here in Northern California struggling to even connect and do simple emails or web access. Today, under FAP, I am getting sub 100K downloads. About same for uploads. It is like pulling teeth today!!! Unpluged modem... same. Reception on dish is good, normal 120 or so. Clear nice blue day here today. Best I have seen today is 300K. Most all have been under 100. The advertising for this internet company is VERY deceiving! I'm stuck only because nobody else services my house but I get MAYBE one movie a month on a plan I pay $70/month for after taxes. After that, I have to deal with constant hang ups or lags - sometimes every 2 minutes. I ended up buying a "dongle" for my TV & I attach my phone to it and use my mobile network to stream movies instead of using this worked internet. The only time I use Hughesnet is for downloading documents because I'm a book editor & need to get large documents several times a month. If there were a way to sue this company for false advertising, for claiming they have such good service with all of those smiling people on the website, on their brochure and... Ugh! DON'T BELIEVE IT! I've had Comcast, AT&T, and several other internet providers and bar none, Hughesnet is the ABSOLUTE WORST OF THE WORST! People here have mentioned a termination fee, & I swear, if I go to cancel & they want me to pay something like that, I'll have a fit! I have been having issues with Hughes net since I had it installed in December of 2018. Slow Internet, Facebook will partially load then the pictures and videos will start loading one by one and you have to wait for it to load more so you can keep scrolling down the page. You-tube buffers constantly even with data saver turnedoff and resolution as low as it will go. E-mail will time out and reload the same messages several times if there are any large attachments. It's extremely difficultto participatein on-line college classes. This happens with all my devices, Wired desktop, laptops, mobile phones. Normally I keep Wifi turned off. Speedtest shows my download speed mostly between 20 and 60 Mbps and my upload speed was 2.1 Mbps when I last checked. I have called tech support numeroustimes when I have been having problems and they had a service tech come out this past week and he couldn't find anything wrong, All he did was take a few pictures of the dish, checked the coax connections and connected into my wifi with his phone to run some checks then told me everything looked fine and he didn't know what else to do. I am to the point now that if I want to watch something on You-tube I just use my mobile data. Most of the time the weather is clear when I am having problems and it happens during different times of the day and night. I also have not been out of data.
