What is the penalty for cancelling my service before my 2 year contract is up?

- If you cancel after activation but before the end of your 24-month term commitment: you will owe, and your credit or debit card will be charged, a Service Termination Fee of up to $240. The exact amount of Service Termination Fee will be $10 times the number of months remaining in your commitment period.
Ricky, that only applies to customers who subscribed to HughesNet between 7/1/08 and 9/1/08.
