Free hotspots from terrestrial ISP

I thought this might be useful to some:

Xfinity (Comcast), a terrestrial internet service provider, has opened up free hotspots all over the country, and they are available to everyone, including non-subscribers, for free.  Check the two links below. The first one gives information, and the second one allows you to check for hotspots in your zip code.

  • Just tried both your links regarding free hotspots...neither of them will load...I think they call that "irony".

They both work for me. I think they call that "you're having problems with your connection."

I usually check my parent's email in the morning. They have Xfinity.

Surprise! Can't get to it today. Route is end-to-end Level3, which dies somewhere in Philadelphia.

No one can tell me this isn't a nationwide CenturyLink issue.
