Worst internet service of all
I months I have been fighting with these Muppets about buffering, slow downloads etc., Every month I go no where with them and I finally got some service last month, upped my gigabits and told me the price would stay the same. I work from home and with their 1 step away from dial up internet I have came so close to getting fired because of it. I have to go to the local library to do my job. They keep saying its $400 if i terminated my agreement, so for the next 1.5 yrs I am to buffer, and work from the library because their service sucks. 2 modems later and 3 service calls and its still crap. I hate this company and others should be warned about them. Skip Hughes net if your looking. I have asked for phone and chat transcript's and they say they have no way of sending those. To let my lawyer look it over. Want Dial up internet get HughesNet. I hope the management and corporate see's this.

We have had Hughesnet for couple months and it is The WORST service ever we hate it. We have the highest plan available which is 200 mbps and it renews around the 16th of the month and within a few days we’re out of data and I go to college and do my work online. We never have any service it’s already so slow and buffers and never works. We’re going to cancel it and warn everyone not to use this company. $400 early termination fee is ridiculous to. It shouldn’t be that high if anything, they shouldn’t charge anything because the service sucks.

How quickly you burn through your 200GB of data is entirely up to you. HughesNet doesn't control what you do with the internet you have. You have to prioritize your activities.

What you just said does not help the fact that your internet service is not good! If I had another choice believe me I don't care how much penalty you charge I would drop you in a heartbeat! One day cable will come to my area!

Same problems for years here. Finally gave up and got Starlink. So far, so good. $1 a day more, but worth it. Sometime we dropped to 700kbs, if it was even working at all. Usage showed 15Gb used while in Jamaica with computers off and phones gone. What a scam, trying to sell extra data.

This is neither a review site nor a complaints site; it's a solutions site to get help directly from the corporate reps, who can do a lot more for you than the phone reps.
Given your experience, you may want to work with the reps on this site to fix your issues -- if you work with them and the issue doesn't get fixed, you may have recourse. Otherwise, you will have to pay the fine. You may also want to read the subscriber agreement, which has a section that explains how to go about dispute resolution with the company. If all else fails, you can always go that route.
Recorded conversations are company property, and companies in general don't release them. That's not just Hughesnet, it's a thing with most companies, and it's legal.
Many people cannot "skip Hughesnet," as it's the only available broadband in many places. And for many people, it works.
Stick around and wait for a rep to reply to your post; work with them if you want to have a chance of getting what you want.

Your last line sounded quite threating. If I had the termination fee, but instead I feed my family. Nothing you said changes my mind or feelings. I know I will never do this mistake again with your product. With having ptsd, adhd, and major anxiety, it makes it even harder, but I know you don't care, just as long as your get your money. But one thing I do know is that my bill should not have been raised, I was told it wouldn't go up.
Thanks
