Linux is favorable to those who are familiar to it. It's a hipster thing... and because it's free.
Has nothing to do with it being more robust or easier to use. In fact it's quite the opposite, making sysads more of a valuable commodity.
Never said it would be easier, just don't remember having these issues the last time I tried running the website on ubuntu.

Sometimes I feel like I should pay you to do this stuff for me :p
I actually found my old .htaccess file that I was using long ago that had a list of browsers and other things that should be blocked, ended up being able to salvage that :D
I got a new one for you if you want it. This one's a little over 300k.
