Just glad it is all back, Hughes has been good to me, it took some patience , Liz kept saying they would fix the speed problem, and they did, switching me back to the old satellite, the western subscribers had the new bird maxed out, they switched me back to the old, with the newer compression technology, and the speed problem was solved. It took a couple of months, but 2 years ago and more, it's been good, no problems. Liz is great, a pro, and solves my problems, we are fortunate to have her, and the others Hughes mods, the techs. My hat's off to all;) We made it past 9-11- when the Butte fire came thru here, we evacuated, but returned Saturday morning, and stayed inside the hard closure of Old Gulch Rd. We needed gas for our generators, the 2nd CHP was a young ramrod, so we had to pass the gas cans across the closure line under his gaze. It's so dry, all it takes is some stupid, or an accident...The nites are long and cool, but the threat remains. East floods, West fires. Hope you make it ok too. Happy Trails 😉 ... View more

Nacomas- glad you got yours working. I'm using Linux, so a little different. My rationale is if the settings on my Linux worked with no problems for all the years I had Hughes why now? It doesn't make sense to me to change my Ipv settings is required to fix my problem, especially after the techs tweaked at their end and fixed my Azure standard problem. I had a wikipedia problem this afternoon. Mediaite still doesn't load either nor a few other sites. The problem is on their end, not mine, why should I change my settings that have worked well for the 5 years or so I've had Hughes? The problem is only on beam 19 also as far as I can tell. You and I only have the same problem? you with windows, I with Linux, Android, Kindle, all 3 platforms had the same problem. I still have the same problem with my Android phone. It is odd that one puter with mint 19 doesn't load mediaite.com , but does load democracticunderground.com , whilst the mint 20 puter loads mediaite.com but not democraticunderground.com . The 19 will not load wikipedia, the 20 does load wikipedia.. I checked the networking set-ups, Ipv4 set-up is blank, Ipv6 set-up are both partially filled in. I have a problem with changing the computer settings, when they worked for years. It seems to me something changed on the Hughes end on beam 19. I feel Hughes has the problem, not my Linux settings which have worked for the 10 years I have used Linux. I never had to change the Ipv settings. At least the techs got my Azure site to operate well. Perhaps since the problem is just a few sites, the rest work fine, they could find the problem, why were they able to fix the Azure site, and not the others? and both Linux puters have different failures? The connection is still problematic , I was able to place an order at Azure, and was able to view Mediaite, I left the site, Mediaite would not load again, even after a reload., it timed out. Thank You Liz. Yes, this is a curious abnormality, it is inconsistent,all financial sites load , most sites load, some very quickly, others very slow, bot do load. Today the costco.com site was at a snails pace even tho I was on the bonus speed. CNN, and the large sites load immediately. The problem is across 3 platforms- Linux, Android, and Kindle, so it is not on my end I believe. I cannot load azurestandard.com , it has the same problem. I may make it past the initial handshake, then after one, or two, back and forths, all stops. Many times the site times out. other times, it is stalled, sometimes, it doesn't get past the initial handshake . I am happy you are in the loop on this. I just tried to email Hughes support on their support form. The connection ended. I could not finish the email. The Captcha said no connection. The problem is intermittent, only on some urls.
