Welp, something like this happened to me this weekend. I was getting ready to play some games on my computer and noticed my PC was a little slow. Something was killing my memory and after doing a little research, turns out things like Skype & Google Chrome are total memory hogs (who would've guessed). But then I thought about the fact that if they take up so much memory, they are probably doing the same with data. Windows 10 has a "per app" usage readout in the  Task Manager which is pretty cool.  Did you know that having Google Hangouts in your browser extensions or even some other extensions will cause Google Chrome to auto-start when you login to Windows and run in the background? Hi jabrown, Let me clarify this for anyone who also has this question. Your due date is the last day that you have to pay the bill. Here is a quick example. If your bill date is the 10th our system attempts to collect the payment that same day. For whatever reason if the charge is unsuccessful, the system will keep trying each day until the "Due Date". Which in this example would be the 20th. If it is still unsuccessful, your account will begin receiving popups until the balance is cleared. This does get a bit confusing and it has been a topic brought up before. So always know that your "Bill date" is the day your bill will generate and our system will attempt to fetch the payment. That's what I did... burned it to a flash drive to upgrade my three computers.  They are well aware of what's going to happen when it's no longer available for free.  They just don't want to upgrade to Hughesnet at this point, which would be necessary to use Windows 10.  They will later this year, but they are choosing to wait for financial reasons at this point.   It's not that they couldn't afford it, they just want to wait for now as my stepfather has just had one of his shoulders replaced, is going to have the other replaced in three months, and his comp pay has gone WAY down.  They just don't want any unnecessary increases in bills for the time being.  He's waiting for his SSDI to be approved and come through.  Once that happens, everything will be good to go.  Not only that, but come later this year, he will probably also have disability retirement from the state.      ... The fake hughesnt pop-up on your computer could be caused by a certain unknown program that can use cookies to measure your recent internet activities. I encountered such scam a less weeks ago. Simply resetting Firefox or Chrome can't stop it. Malwarebytes might be powerful for you. But luckily  I removed this pop-up with the help of a internet tutorial. ... View more

  i am extremely dissatisfied with hughesnet, as are many, many customers.  you would think they would try harder to keep customers.  Hughesnet has around 1,400,000 residential customers and growing. There is always going to be a small number of users with issues when dealing with something as complex as computers and networking. Anything can break ... if its "broken" then troubleshooting is required to determine where the breakdown is. When a problem is reported by a user, Hughes works very hard to first identify and then rectify the issue. This will of course require that you state the details of your dissatisfaction. ... If you have a ground based provider you never should have signed up for satellite. Bill, I believe in being honest and stating the fact that high speed ground based unlimited internet is better than capped satellite internet.
