Hi there El Dorado Networks - Absolutely no problems. Everything working fine for months now. (Sorry for the delayed reply; I'm on the forums now because the Gen5 service seems to be down.) Limaleader - great advice also. We have Arlo at our main home (as a redundancy to to a traditional DVR) and it's been great with one caveat - Arlo does not record continuously, but only on motion detection. I have been on the phone all day with Hughsnet's Home Tech Support. Hughsnet does not support VPN. Therefore cellphone network extenders do not work with their system. So either I carry two internet providers so I have the capability to connect our network extender or I find a different way to make phone calls. Not sure how we are going to go right now. @El Dorado Netwo   I uninstalled my 6.6.1 meter and installed the 6.6.0 meter to see.  On checking, the VDS was there.     I wonder if it could be tied to the issue of you not being able to sign in with your credentials, like the system is having some type of hiccup.  Perhaps it's tied to the beam or gateway you and/or your customer are assigned to?       ... The fake hughesnt pop-up on your computer could be caused by a certain unknown program that can use cookies to measure your recent internet activities. I encountered such scam a less weeks ago. Simply resetting Firefox or Chrome can't stop it. Malwarebytes might be powerful for you. But luckily  I removed this pop-up with the help of a internet tutorial. ... View more

HI, Alan.  Kudos on your "BOOK" for us struggling users of sat.trying to make it work.  I am REALLY looking forward to it.   AS to your question, I cannot help direcly and am aslo very interested in other replies. I do wide variety of maintenance services and HVAC monitoring (and  some repair) is one of them.   What I DO know works well is a LAND LINE connection.  Cell service here is very spotty if at all. My house is in a DEAD ZONE, so I can't even amplify the nonexistent signal. Many of those whom I serve here in Idaho / Canada border keep their land line ON so as to not lose the number, some of which have been the same for generations.  THAT WORKS VERY WELL. I can get the name of the product if anyone asks. (I am not at home)  Costs under $200 for the phone connection and the thermostat.  You can monitor and ADJUST remotely very nicely. WORKS GREAT.
