It's mostly wifi tools like Wifi Analyzer on Android devices I use. Don't have any laptops or anything that I can really put stuff on at the moment. How does nmap determine who makes what? Surely it's just going based upon MAC addressing? Here is what I can find from the F.C.C. filings... Qualcomm QCA9882-BR4A - AC Wifi Qualcomm QCA8337-AL3C - 7 port switch Qualcomm QCA9563-AL3A - BGN Wifi Looks like they used some off the shelf components, but they don't appear to be too cheap. The AC controller alone, if Hughes ordered 150,000 units of it would be about $8.50 per chip, that's just the chip. That's not counting any of the supporting components, nor engineering that was required to interface that chip with the SoC and Switch that was used. All in all, each of these units do cost a good bit more than the old units.

I also want to give a big thumbs down for the new status meter. I've got my kids (10 and 13) trained to use to old status meter to monitor our usage, now that information is obscured in the new status meter. Fortunately I still have a copy of the old status meter and will stick with that for as long as possible.

I missed the launch. I completely forgot about it, then remembered it last evening. Ugh! I'm certainly glad that everything went to plan thus far. There are a few decent, short videos of the launch on YouTube.

Sadly, yes. Things sure work slowly in the engineering and developer world. Just glad it is something that is more irritating than a really serious problem. Still would like for it to get fixed. Amanda says still being worked.

Here's a website that shows how you can take a screenshot: http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/ Taking a screenshot saves a picture of your screen to your computer. To include the picture in your community post, click the camera icon below the text field. The grey Upload Image area will appear and you can drag the saved picture into the grey area. Or you can click the link to let you navigate to the folder where your picture was saved.
