@gordy,   Your initial sales call was over a year ago. This is very far outside of the timeframe in which we store these calls. At this time, the information I have provided in my private message to you has instructions on what to do next. In regards to binding agreements, the legal website that was linked to you on the thread has been publically available since before you signed up with an account. It is recommended to read the Terms and Conditions before signing a contract to avoid this situation. @Mcoll    Though this won't help with the problem of the HughesNet IP changes and Hulu having a fit about it, if you use Hulu a lot you may want to look into PlayOn Cloud.  Though it's sort of a convoluted way of watching what you want, it may help alleviate that problem, as PlayOn Cloud may always use the same IP address when it's streaming your chosen items to their "cloud based DVR".  It's just an idea.     Some of us use PlayOn Cloud for the purpose of avoiding buffering and being able to more easily use the Bonus Zone data for our streaming, but it may help to avert the IP problem, as well.  Hulu is one of the providers their service works with, and I've not seen anything mentioned about Hulu and IP addresses, so this may very well be the case.   You'd have to have a way of being able to play the files (mp4) on your TV, though.  There are various ways, and if it's a Smart TV it may very well have a USB port with which you can play the files from a flash drive.   Again, it's just an idea. ... HughesNet Basic Service (Residential)  plan is not compatible with VPNs.   I sometimes use a NordVPN (or Bitdefender's) with HughesNet, but experienced reduced speeds as much as 75 - 90%. You can restore your connection to full speed by simply disabling your VPN client when your session is over.   HughesNet uses sophisticated acceleration techniques to enable high-speed performance over a satellite 23 thousand miles above the earth, a 46-thousand mile roundtrip. These acceleration techniques require access to data packet header information, which is blocked when VPNs are used. These VPNs encrypt the data and create a secure tunnel through the HughesNet network. The encrypted data cannot be processed by HughesNet's acceleration techniques, therefore resulting in slower performance. Tech Support told me that a Business Plan may be different, but the price differential was too much. A cheaper solution was to get a wi-fi hotspot from a cellular service company, because cellular has, or you can set, a "VPN passthrough" and then the speed loss is generally less than or up to only ten percent.  ... I occasionally do a weekday puzzle or two from our local paper(s), but not the NY Times.  I wouldn't do enough of them to make buying a subscription worth it.  Plus, I'd have to print all of them out, and the day I have to do a crossword on a device is the day I'll stop doing them.  That's nothing against those who do, but it's not for me.  It's the same with books.  If I can't have a physical book in my hand, I'm not reading it.  With that said, I do tend to get lost in Wikipedia sometimes after clicking links to other pages.   Before I know it, it's hours past when I meant to get off of the computer.  😛 ...
